Rusty's adoption fee is $150.00.

Rusty can’t figure out what’s wrong with him. Is it his eyes? Are they too bugged out? Is it his tongue? Is it too curly? It can’t be his personality, because he gets called a good boy at least five times a day.  Maybe it’s his playful demeanor? His excitement whenever you come home? His desire for adventure? His willingness to be your best friend no matter what? Because if it isn’t any of that…then what is it? Why can’t Rusty find a forever home?

This poor boy has been with his foster family for almost a full year. He’s a great guy who just needs someone to give him a chance. We know he’s a little funny looking. He doesn’t quite have the roguish good looks of a Boxer or the refined sophistication of a Labrador…but what he lacks in looks he totally makes up in personality. Rusty is a 4 year old Boxer/Lab mix who loves to play with other dogs, is great with kids, and does well with confident cats. He can be a little scared sometimes when meeting new people, but he warms up very quickly. He’d be perfect for an active family who likes to play in the backyard or go to the park. Whatever you’re doing – he’s ready for it!

The only quirk that Rusty has is that you might need to go outside with him for a few weeks when you finally take him home. It took a little bit for him to get used to going outside alone when he first arrived at his foster home, but inside of 2 weeks he was going in and out like a pro! Of course, this may not be the case at all for him since it’s been a year – but we just want you to know it’s a possibility.

Rusty is house trained, neutered, is up to date on shots, is on flea & heart worm preventative, and has a microchip. If you can give Rusty the forever home that he’s long overdue for – please fill out our adoption application today.

P.S. Rusty could easily be in a home with alternate fencing or with someone who lives in an apartment.
