**6/12/18 - Update: Anna sustained a front leg sprain running around outside like a crazy puppy chasing one of her foster siblings. She's being moved to Medical Hold until she heals.**

Anna is a 6-8 year old German Shepherd and Sheepdog mix. She came into the rescue on 9/11/17 with a severe skin infection, a double ear infection, and a suspicious growth on her tail. After curing all her infections, her tail growth was removed and sent out for testing. Unfortunately, the results came back positive for cancer. In an effort to give Anna the best chance possible, we had her tail amputated to stop the cancer from spreading. As of April 2018, Anna is doing fabulous. She shows no signs of sickness and loves chasing her foster buddies around the yard. This girl may be getting older, but she's the sweetest, most playful lady we've ever had the pleasure of meeting!

Anna would absolutely be a candidate for adoption, as long as her new family understands that her cancer could resurface at any time. But we think this girl easily has many years left to enrich the right family's life. Anna does extremely well with other dogs and completely ignores cats. She's also very gentle and careful around children. Anna is spayed, house trained, up to date on shots, and is on flea & heart worm preventative.

This sweet girl more than deserves a family to call her own. Are you the one for her?
